Turku Supplement for Employers

Turku Supplement for Employers is meant to support the intermediate labour market as well as help the long-term unemployed to find employment from the open markets. The supplement is paid to the employer and it is meant to be used for the costs caused by the employment.

Turku Supplement can be applied for by employers who hire a person who has been unemployed and received labour market subsidy for over 300 days. The working hours of the employed person must be at least 25h/week.

The discretionary Turku Supplement is usually granted for seven months maximum. In case of apprenticeship training it is possible to get supplement for the entire duration of the training. The supplement is paid only once per employed person for the same employer.

Turku Supplement can be applied for through the Employment Services Centre.
