The summer season at Kupittaa Outdoor Swimming Arena will be ending on 13 August. Outdoor swimming can still be continued until Friday 19 September at Samppalinna Outdoor Swimming Stadium. When the arena at Kupittaa closes, the swimming hall season begins again. Impivaara Swimming Centre will open on Monday 14 August and Petrelius Swimming Hall on Monday 28 August.
Swim shorts now accepted
The opening of swimming halls brings along a change in swimwear regulations. From 14 August onwards, the use of swim shorts is allowed in the City of Turku swimming halls.
Swim shorts and other swimwear must be intended for swimming hall use. Any swimwear must be clean and made of lint-free material. Pockets are not allowed. The use of underwear under swimwear is prohibited. Please take a proper shower before putting the swimwear on.
