Summer School focuses on offering the summer school students courses with diverse teaching methods and interactive learning. There are both on-site and online courses and the course fees vary only between 45-75€!

New volunteer database for events makes organising events easier in Turku
Event organisers and volunteers are brought together by a volunteer database established by the Event Services of the City of Turku. The volunteer database makes the organisation of events easier and offers diverse opportunities for volunteers.

Register as an exhibitor for Study in Turku Fair
The Study in Turku Fair 30.8.2023 introduces new students to Turku. New students will be introduced to the services and hobby opportunities of the City of Turku, local companies and associations, and student organizations.
Registration for exhibitors is now open. There will be room for approx. 90 exhibitors and the event organiser will be in contact with all the exhibitors selected for the fair in June–July. Exhibiting at the fair is free of charge.
Registration begins on the 1st of May.

Turku Åbo Summer School received over 500 applications!
Turku Åbo Summer School, the summer school of five Turku higher education institutions, attracted more than 500 applications from students this year. Turku and its high-quality higher education offering received applications from all around the world. A large number of applications were received from European countries, Asia and North America.

In August 150-200 international students participate in Turku Åbo Summer School, which is hosted by higher education institutions in Turku. As an event tutor you have free access to the activities, get to know new people, get experience on organizing an international event, a diploma and also a small reward (50€).

The student event Pikkulaskiainen will be visible throughout the city on Thursday, 16 February 2023. Finland’s largest and most icy student festival brings higher education students from all over Finland together in wintery Turku. The festival is made by and for students by two hundred Turku School of Economics students.

The city of Turku and the higher education institutions in the area consider it important that the international students enjoy their stay in Turku. When international students feel at home in Turku, they are more likely to return to the banks of Aurajoki river – or even to stay to live in the city after they have graduated.

Turku very attractive in the joint application process for higher education institutions
Turku attracted a large number of applicants in the second joint application process for higher education institutions in the spring. For the first time, the University of Turku was the most popular higher education institution in the entire country. Turku University of Applied Sciences and Åbo Akademi University of Applied Sciences also performed well.

To the Classroom and Beyond – Student Services for International Talents is an online event focusing on higher education in Turku. It will take place on February 3rd, 2022. At this event, the speakers will discuss about the student journey as well as introduce two projects supporting international talents in higher education.
